Actor Abrar Qazi will be seen in the show Kumkum Bhagya post the 20-year leap that the show is set to take. The actor will be playing the lead role in the show and he is happy to be part of this ongoing show.
Talking about his character, he says, “I am playing the role of Rajvansh Malhotra in the show. He is an ambitious businessman, who is known for his resilience.
He has a lot of layers to his character which is interesting. He might come across as a negative character in the begining, but once the audience knows why he does what he does, people will like him. So he does have a good heart.”
Abrar finds similarities in him and his character. He says, “One thing that is the same in us is that Rajvansh is a bit mysterious because there are secrets around him and the same is the case with me. I am someone who likes to keep my life to myself and I don’t share much. So I do come across as mysterious to people, but I eventually open up to my close ones. This is one similarity that I have with this character.”
On the personal front, Abrar has been linked with actress Shruti Sharma in the past, but the two have denied the rumours. When asked about how these rumours affect him, the Yeh Hai Chahtein actor says, “When I was fairly new to this industry, it used to affect me because I would wonder where such rumours come from and why people want to interfere in my personal life. But as time passed, I understood that this is part and parcel of my profession and now it doesn’t bother me at all.”
