Marriage is on actor Adnan Khan’s mind, who is currently seen on the show Katha Ankahee as Viaan Raghuwanshi. Adnan says he is looking to settle down soon. “I am looking to settle down, which means getting married very soon. I am looking for an arranged marriage as I am quite traditional in this regard. The hunt is on by my family but I have just asked them to give me some time till my show Katha is going on,” he said.
On the professional front, Adnan says he is quite happy with the love and adulation he has got from the television audience for his show Katha… “I did Ishq Subhan Allah before Katha and then took a hiatus to do my own personal project. Once my project finished, the fire to come back to acting came in me and I prayed that I get a decent show wherein I can act.
My personal project, which is a short film, took a lot out of me. I not only acted in it but did a lot of other things in it like produced, directing and writing it as well. It is in post-production right now. I was offered a couple of shows in the interim, I am not too choosy about the projects I do on TV. But yes, I wanted to do a very realistic show like Katha,” he said.
But we wonder why we lack realistic shows on television. “Let me be frank here – I personally like the typical masala shows on TV. I don’t mind being part of typical masala shows as well. Before I was entering this industry I used to always have this in mind ki bahot realistic shows hi karne hain. But I have realised that there is an audience for every show and every film. Even urban shows have their audience and rural ones do too. I don’t judge any show on TV for its content.
My perception has changed more because I have been on the other side too with my debut project as a maker. So now, I will never say to anyone kya ganda kaam kiya hai,” he shared.
