Ankita Lokhande pays tribute to Sushant Singh Rajput

Ankita Lokhande paid tribute to Sushant Singh Rajput at an award show recently and has now offered an elaborate glimpse of her emotional performance on social media. She captioned it, “One last time.”
In the video, Ankita can be seen dancing to popular songs including the title number of her television show with Sushant, Pavitra Rishta. The actress’ look on one of the songs is from the daily soap.

Usha Nadkarni, who played Sushant’s mother Savita Deshmukh in the serial, remembers Sushant as silent and gentle on-screen but naughty and jovial in real life. She recalls how he used to play pranks with her which annoyed her initially but then she started enjoying them.
Her teary-eyed speech is followed by Ankita’s performance on romantic numbers.

Ankita then takes to the stage and says, “Aaj har dil shaant hai kyunki har dil mein Sushant hai. Kabhi socha nahi tha jo har din chaand taaron ki baat karta tha, woh ek din khud chaand taaron se baat karne chala jayega. Kabhi socha nahi tha jise dekh kar kaiyon ne sapne dekha, ek din use dekh paana sapna ban jayega. Sushant aaj aapko yaad kar raha hai aapki kutumb ka har rishta. kyunki yeh aapka aur humara rishta sirf pavitra nahi, amar rishta hai. Maine kabhi nahin socha tha ki yeh din aayega, aur main yeh sab bolungi. We miss you Sushant, we miss you. Thank you. (Today every heart is silent because it has Sushant in it. I had never thought someone who talked so much about the moon and stars, would become one of them. I had never thought it would be a dream to see someone who made others dream. Sushant, everyone’s remembering you because our relationship isn’t just sacred but immortal. I never thought I’d say all this).

For the uninitiated, Ankita and Sushant starred in the popular show, Pavitra Rishta. The two fell in love and were in a relationship for a long time before calling it quits. Sushant died by suicide on June 14 at his residence in Mumbai.
