When Surbhi Chandna disclosed she nearly lost her role in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’

Surbhi Chandna, famed for her roles in ‘Ishqbaaaz’ and ‘Sherdil Shergill’, has become a key personality in the Indian television landscape. She launched her acting journey in 2009 with a guest appearance in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’. Surbhi has distinguished herself through her performances, particularly as Anika Oberoi in ‘Ishqbaaaz’ and Bani Singhania in ‘Naagin 5’.

In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Surbhi revealed that the cast of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ considered replacing her due to concerns over her performance.

Her mother urged her to improve, and producer Asit Kumar Modi reassured her mom that the storyline depended on Surbhi’s character. Chandna noted that her mother consistently finds silver linings in adversity, a vital lesson she’s embraced throughout her career.

Chandna has demonstrated her acting prowess in numerous beloved series, such as ‘Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi…Meri Bhabhi’ and ‘Qubool Hai’. She rose to prominence as Annika in ‘Ishqbaaaz’ from 2016 to 2018 and recently took on the role of Dr. Ishani Arora in the reboot of ‘Sanjivani’.

On a personal note, Surbhi Chandna tied the knot with her long-term partner Karan Sharma on March 2, 2024, after nearly 13 years of dating.
