Recently, rumors have been swirling among the fanbase about the potential introduction of Anuj’s death storyline in the show and the possible exit of Vaquar Shaikh’s character, Yashdeep, following the closure of Spice N Chutney. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Life, Vaquar Shaikh sheds light on Yashdeep’s fate in the show.
Is Yashdeep’s journey coming to an end in the Rupali Ganguly-led show?
Rumors about Yashdeep’s departure from Anupamaa began to circulate when the character’s screen time was noticeably reduced by the creators. Lately, Yashdeep (Vaquar Shaikh) has been less visible in the show. Furthermore, the current storyline, which revolves around the Shahs returning to America and Anu (Rupali Ganguly) winning a cooking contest, leaves little room for Yashdeep’s character. With the shutting down of the Spice N Chutney cafe, some fans speculated that Yashdeep’s character might soon bid adieu to the show.
Addressing these speculations, Vaquar Shaikh stated, ‘I’m not leaving. Not at all. I’ve been a constant presence. Ever since I joined Anupamaa, I’ve been part of every episode. There might be times when the storyline or a particular episode doesn’t require my presence. But even in those episodes, I’m sure a small scene of mine would definitely be included. I’m currently shooting for Anupamaa.’
It will indeed be intriguing to see how the creators steer the storyline forward. Another fan theory suggests that Anu and Anuj might soon return to India as Vanraj will betray Dimpy, preventing her from marrying Titu.
