Her two-and-a-half year journey on Ghum Hai Kisike Pyaar Mein recently ended and Ayesha Singhis now hoping to bag another role which is as good as the one she played here. She says, “I had played a few small roles in TV shows and then I got my big break with Ghum Hai Kisike Pyaar Mein. Our show started during the lockdown and I remember how we moved cities and worked in a bio-bubble.
The show recently took a leap and my part ended, but overall it has been a great experience. I now want to detach from my character Sai and move on.”
The actress denies that the show was dragging since the past few months and so a leap was planned. She said, “I don’t think I am in a position to comment on leaps because all of this depends on market forces. The broader story I am sure the makers understand more and not us actors. I have no regrets, I am happy that the story is moving ahead and grateful that the role and show gave me so much.”
There has always been talk about tension between her and actress Aishwarya Sharma. Ask her about it, and she says, “I have been asked this several times… I don’t want to add fuel to the fire by saying anything. We had our own spaces and we respected that and gave our best to the show. There is nothing more to comment on either her or my co-actor Neil Bhatt, because the show is over now and we all are on different paths.”
Talking about paths, Ayesha’s parents always wanted her to pursue law. She reveals, “Even after one year of Ghum Hai Kisike Pyaar Mein, my mother wanted me to pursue law. Of course they are happy today to see where I have reached.”
