In the next episode, after the women of Aniruddha’s (Krushal Ahuja) family remove the sindoor from Jhanak’s (Hiba Nawab) forehead and break her bangles, they instruct her to immerse herself thrice in water, after which she will no longer be considered Aniruddha’s wife. Jhanak is frightened by the water’s depth, but Shrishti forces her to immerse herself. As Jhanak attempts to do so, Shrishti releases her hand, causing Jhanak to struggle and start drowning. Upon seeing Jhanak’s struggle, Aniruddha jumps into the water to rescue her.
