There has been speculation that Manasvi Vashist was being considered for a new show as the lead opposite Ulka Gupta. However, ETimes TV has exclusively revealed that it’s not Manasvi, but Karan Vohra, last seen in “Imlie” opposite Megha Chakraborty, who has been confirmed for the show.
A source close to the show shared, “Manasvi was indeed approached, but we were certain that Karan was the perfect choice for the character once we saw him. Karan Vohra will be starring opposite Ulka Gupta. The show has an intriguing storyline, and while I can’t share much at this point, fans are sure to love the lead pair in this show.”
The show is produced under the banner of Full House Media Productions. After “Banni Chow Home Delivery” and “Dhruv Tara,” Ulka Gupta is making her return to TV as the lead. Speaking of Karan, the actor received much love for his performance in “Imlie” as Arto, also known as Atharva. During his time on the show, the charming actor became a father to twin boys.
Karan shared his thoughts on his departure from “Imlie” due to the generational leap in an exclusive interview with BT, “After ‘Krishna Chali London’ (2019), I moved to Delhi and was there during the pandemic. It took some time for the producers to give me another opportunity. When I returned, I wasn’t sure if I would be able to land lead roles again. But, thankfully, the makers found me suitable for the lead role in ‘Imlie’ and everything worked out. So, I am grateful that the show gave me the recognition I needed and revived my career after a two-year hiatus.”
