Actress Priya Ahuja Rajda, who is best known as Rita reporter from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has now joined the show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. The actress has been looking out for a good character to play since a while now and it seems that she has finally found it.
A source told us, “Priya will be entering the show in the next few days. The actress will be seen playing the role of a lavani dancer (folk dance) in the show. She will be playing the role of actor Harshad Arora’s sister on the show. She will be connected to Sai’s character too.”
Priya was on a maternity break for the past three years. In an earlier interview she told us, “My son Ardaas is two- and-half-years old. Now that he has grown up a little and goes to playschool, I can get back to acting. I have not been working for the past three years and now I am craving to be on screen. I can manage my mommy duties and my work because my husband helps in taking care of our baby, too.”
Incidentally, Priya’s husband Malav Rajda was the director of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for 14 years and he recently quit. TMKOC will always remain close to their hearts, she had said in her last interview. “The show has given Malav and me a lot in our careers. Things started getting better on the work front for me after I did Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and the same holds true for Malav. He is also thankful for what the show has given him. And we met on the show, so that makes it even more special for us,” Priya said.
