Lubna Salim, renowned for her portrayal of Santosh Kaur Monga in Teri Meri Doriyaann, is preparing to grace the screen in the forthcoming show Khubsurrat. She has been cast in this upcoming TV series, which also stars Yesha Harsora, Farman Haider, and Twinkle Arora in pivotal roles.
An insider revealed to ETimes TV that the show has been officially named Khubsurrat. Lubna, who has previously worked with the production, has been roped in for a significant role. The casting is nearly complete, and the shooting for the promo will commence soon. The show is expected to start production next month.
The narrative of Khubsurrat, produced by the successful Cockcrow & Shaika Entertainment, revolves around a Marathi family from Mumbai. The production house has several popular shows to its credit, including Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, Teri Meri Doriyaann, Tose Naina Milaike, and Aangan – Aapno Kaa. The official trailer for Khubsurrat is still awaited.
In Teri Meri Doriyaann, Lubna depicted a middle-class mother to three daughters – Sahiba (Himanshi Parashar), Seerat (Roopam Sharma), and Keerat (Prachi Hada).
Farman Haider, last seen in ‘Aaina-Roop Nahi Haqikat Bhi Dikhaye’ alongside Niharika Chouksey, has quickly landed a role in a new TV series shortly after his previous show concluded. Farman’s career began with Rakshabandhan… Rasal Apne Bhai Ki Dhal, where he played the lead in Saavi Ki Savari.
Yesha Harsora, who played the resilient Harini in “Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin,” supporting Sai (Ayesha Singh), is making her debut as a lead in a television series with this show.
