Popular couple from the TV show Imlie, Sumbul Touqueer and Fahmaan Khan, are all set to bid aidieu to the show. The duo posted on social media that their journey on the show was getting over and a new generation would come in after the leap.
Fahmaan said in the video, “Thank you and love you. Aryan and Imlie had a great journey. Everything that is good comes to an end and nothing remains forever.”
There were talks of a leap since the past few weeks, and there was buzz that Fahmaan was not going to be a part of the show post the leap. However, a source associated with the show, revealed that it was a sudden decision. The source said, “The makers have taken a call to revamp the show fully. Post the leap, the lead actors will be different and the entire story will change. But the rest of the cast has been retained. This is not just a time leap, it’s a generation leap.”
The source added, “It was a sudden decision and everyone on the team was surprised. Fahmaan and Sumbul have been loved for their onscreen chemistry, and so it remains to be seen how the new set of actors will connect with the viewers.”
In the new scheme of things, Cheeni will be shown as a young woman. Fahmaan and Sumbul’s characters will die after she delivers another daughter. Fahmaan entered the show in October 2021 while Sumbul has been part of it from the time it launched in November 2020.
